Last night was the biggest turnout of any JC Tech Meetup I’ve run, and I couldn’t be more excited about the outcome and enthusiasm from the group.
We had a productive open conversation with the community on how sustainability and resiliency measures are making a huge impact on Jersey City, the tech scene and the world we live in.
Debra A. (Deb) Italiano of Sustainable JC moderated the discussion, shining a light on some of the impressive sustainability initiatives taking place in Jersey City. My key takeaway was that we all need to be a part of this conversation instead of ignoring the ongoing issues we are creating for our environment.
We also had some killer presentations from our panelists: George Thomas Vallone of Hoboken Brownstone Company, Tony Borelli of Bike JC, Michael Mazur of Greenspot, and Matt de la Houssaye, MS of Global Green USA. A huge thanks to all of these speakers for their unique insights and for sharing how they incorporate green measures within their organizations. Loved hearing these different perspectives.
